We are a group of architects and designers, specialised in designing high-end contemporary eco homes for individual clients. The House Designers offer a full architectural service from inception of the project through to handover to our build partners, Baufritz. We were founded in 2014 and since those early days we have designed an impressive body of work reflecting our clients’ various tastes, styles and needs.
As a specialist firm we have unrivalled knowledge and an unbridled passion for building environmentally friendly, sustainable, healthy homes. Our architects have the skills to develop stunning houses and we are specifically trained on timber and modular architecture.
Sustainable living.
We work hard to create houses that “don’t cost the earth”. All our team are highly experienced and are passionate about designing and specifying buildings that have carbon locked away within the fabric of the building and use, wherever possible, sustainable, natural materials that are not harmful to the environment nor to the inhabitants of the building. Baufritz test very material used in their system, and we have a Building Biologist on our House Designers team in the UK.
At all points of the design process we always ask how can we work in a sustainable way where we can make even a small difference. These can add up to a beautiful home that really does make a difference.
Sustainability doesn’t only extend to the houses we build. We firmly believe that a healthy, positive and inclusive workplace is where the journey begins. From utilising the Cycle-to-Work program, to Carbon offsetting any car journeys, we promote sustainable living not only for our clients, but for ourselves too. Once a project is complete, our commitment does not stop there, and with homes that are perfectly engineered, a healthy living environment within a house that breathes naturally. The homes are also future-proof in that the insulation far exceeds current building regulations in both the UK and Germany - ensuring energy bills are kept to an absolute minimum.
